Vision

A better world is possible.

August 9, 2020

I can see a world where liberty and justice for all is a reality.

Where all people are equally protected under the law.

Where all people have quality food and housing, mental and physical health care, minimum universal income, and opportunities to work.

Where our collective safety is the responsibility of the community rather than police and prisons.

Where every child receives access to quality education that isn’t dependent on their parents’ jobs, geographic location, nor the situations of their birth.

As an artist, activist, and educator, I find my creativity drives me forward. My vision allows me to see the potential of our county (Queens), city (New York City), state (New York), and country (USA).

I believe this vision of a brighter future is realistic because:

  • I’m an artist—We create something from just a vision all of the time.

  • I’m an educator—I see internal change make an external impact every day.

  • I’m an activist—I see mutual aid networks being created and working in my Queens Community. I’ve seen the power of community based voting and organizing. I see organizers leading an equitable, innovative, and ethical movement.

  • I have seen, in real time, how the people, united, will never be defeated.

We can do this!

Join me in building the future of our society into the beautiful vision so many have given us as a gift and duty.
